Hiring: Commercial Manager - Logistics | Malaysia

Location: Port Klang, Malaysia

Experience: 10–15 Years

Employment: Full-Time | Permanent

Function: Commercial / Business Development

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager with a strong track record in Freight Forwarding, NVOCC, Shipping/Liner or Project Logistics to drive business growth across Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new customer acquisition across NVOCC, Liner, Freight Forwarding, Project Logistics and ISO Tank.
  • Develop new markets, customers and international trade lanes.
  • Grow revenue, volumes and margins from existing key accounts.
  • Build relationships with customers, shipping lines, NVOCCs and logistics partners.
  • Monitor market trends, competition and freight rates.
  • Manage commercial negotiations, sales pipeline and targets.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Customer Service and Finance for smooth execution.
  • Travel extensively across Malaysia for business development.

Mandatory Requirements

  • 10–15 years of sales experience in Freight Forwarding, NVOCC, Shipping, Liner Agency or Project Logistics.
  • Strong commercial sales and business development experience in Malaysia.
  • Proven track record in new customer acquisition and key accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of Ocean Freight, NVOCC/Liner and Freight Forwarding.
  • Good understanding of Malaysia's logistics market, especially Port Klang.
  • Experience in international trade lanes and achieving revenue/profitability targets.
  • Strong customer network in Malaysia is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Malaysia.
  • Graduate in any discipline is mandatory.
  • MBA/Postgraduate qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Sales or Marketing is preferred.
  • Exposure to Project Cargo, OOG/ODC or ISO Tank will be an added advantage.
