About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional senior-level full-stack engineer to join a high-performing development team working across Europe and Asia.

Our existing engineering team is based in Europe, and this position will be our first engineering hire in Asia as we build a broader regional team. This is an exciting opportunity to play an important role in shaping our engineering presence in Asia while collaborating closely with experienced international colleagues.

We operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, where priorities can evolve quickly and engineers are expected to take ownership, solve complex problems and work effectively through ambiguity. Previous experience in a startup, scale-up or similarly fast-moving environment is highly valued, particularly where you have had to navigate technical challenges, changing requirements and competing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain modern, scalable web applications.
• Develop high-quality solutions using JavaScript, TypeScript and Node.js.
• Contribute to architectural and technical decisions across multiple products.
• Integrate AI models and APIs into customer-facing products and internal tools.
• Deploy and maintain applications using cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Collaborate effectively with team members across European and Asian time zones.
• Take ownership of technical problems and drive solutions from concept through to production.
• Work effectively across multiple projects, products and businesses in a fast-moving environment.
• Adapt quickly to changing requirements and priorities while maintaining delivery quality.
• Maintain strong standards for code quality, security, testing and documentation.

Required Experience

• Strong professional experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Advanced experience with Node.js and modern backend development.
• Experience with Astro or similar modern web frameworks.
• Strong understanding of modern web application architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure or another major cloud platform.
• Practical experience working with AI models, APIs or AI-enabled products.
• Experience designing and delivering scalable, production-grade applications.
• Strong communication skills and experience working within distributed teams.
• Demonstrated ability to independently solve complex technical problems and take ownership of delivery
• Comfortable working in an environment with rapid change, ambiguity and multiple competing priorities.
• Previous experience in a startup, scale-up, high-growth technology company or similarly fast-paced environment is strongly preferred.

Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
