Key Responsibilities & Leadership Scope
- Align daily operations with company goals, policies, and strategic directives.
- Lead and manage Port Klang operations and the transshipment department, ensuring efficient cargo handling and on-time delivery.
- Act as the stand-in Head of Import & Documentation for both Port Klang and PGU offices, overseeing operations and staff performance.
Operations & Logistics Management
- Negotiate competitive rates with feeder service providers and manage space procurement to optimize cost and capacity.
- Oversee transshipment activities for special equipment, dry vans, and ISO tanks, ensuring safe and seamless handling.
- Manage transloading operations, ensuring efficient cargo transfers.
- Monitor depot activities, including container movements (MT export/import) and trucking coordination.
- Handle vessel operations when required.
Stakeholder & Compliance Management
- Serve as the key liaison with port authorities, customs, and port police to ensure regulatory compliance and smooth operations.
- Maintain strong relationships with vessel operators, principals, and logistics partners.
- Manage multiple principals’ equipment, including allocation, maintenance, and dispatch coordination.
Documentation & Financial Oversight
- Approve Bills of Lading (BL), EDO, and import shipment documentation.
- Review and approve invoices from feeder operators, ports, depots, and vendors.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in all shipping and operational documentation.
Performance, Cost Control & Optimization
- Implement cost-control measures, including route and packaging optimization.
- Monitor shipping budgets and operational expenses.
- Track and analyse KPIs (delivery timelines, accuracy, and costs) to improve efficiency.
- Utilize logistics and depot management systems to enhance operational performance.
Problem Solving & Customer Service
- Handle shipment delays, damages, and loss cases, ensuring timely resolution.
- Manage damage claims from shippers and consignees while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement preventive measures to minimize operational disruptions.
- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
Leadership & Team Development
- Train employees on SOPs and operational procedures.
- Guide branch offices on best practices to ensure consistency across locations.
- Provide leadership in high-pressure situations with 24/7 operational readiness when required.

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
