Job Description

Role Purpose:
To perform mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical assembly of components and equipment (e.g., mini excavators, power trowels, concrete cutters) according to work instructions and engineering drawings. Responsible for part fitment, alignment, torque tightening, leak testing, and final verification to ensure assembled machines meet performance and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assembly Execution
• Assemble machinery or subassemblies using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and jigs according to assembly drawings and SOPs.
• Install components such as engines, powertrains, axles, hydraulic systems, and electrical harnesses.
• Align parts, apply proper torque, and verify moving parts operate smoothly.
• Pre-Delivery Testing & Adjustment
• Conduct functional tests such as hydraulic pressure checks, engine startup, lighting systems, etc.
• Identify and rectify minor defects during test runs before quality inspection.
• Material & Part Verification
• Check part availability and verify components match work orders and BOM.
• Report part shortages or mismatches to line leader.
• Quality & Safety Assurance
• Follow quality standards during every assembly stage.
• Tag defective parts and ensure traceability.
• Use proper lifting tools and follow PPE/safety rules.
• Documentation & Communication
• Fill up checklists, torque logs, and test sheets.
• Report daily output, abnormal findings, and rework needed to line leader or supervisor.
