Job Description

Responsibilities

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented HR professional to join our team as Associate, Human Resources.

Reporting directly to the HR Manager, you will support the day-to-day HR operations, ensuring smooth execution of recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and administrative tasks. You will assist in implementing HR policies, fostering a positive work environment, and maintaining accurate HR records in compliance with the labour laws (e.g., Employment Act).

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations:

  • Support onboarding (documentation, orientation, system setup) and offboarding (exit interviews, clearance).
  • Manage end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Support benefits administration, including insurance enrolment and renewal.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process to ensure smooth and timely hiring process including partnering with hiring managers to understand role requirements.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records and provide regular updates on hiring status.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries on HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Support the resolution of workplace conflicts and grievances confidentially.
  • Support engagement initiatives (wellness programs, surveys, events).
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and employee touchpoints.

HR Administration & Compliance

  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of employee records (personal data, certificates, leave) in HRIS (Workday).
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysia labour laws and internal policies.

Performance Management & L&D

  • Coordinate performance review cycles and track metrics.
  • Support training needs and organize workshops/sessions.
  • Monitor employee training progress and certifications.

Reporting & HR Projects

  • Participate in ad-hoc HR projects (e.g., policy updates, system implementations).
  • Prepare ad-hoc HR Reports as required.
  • Support the maintenance and periodic renew of HR policies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years in HR administration / operations, with exposure to recruitment and talent acquisition
  • Knowledge of Malaysia employment laws and HR best practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS (Workday)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to handle confidential information
  • Experience in a multinational or fast-paced environment is a plus
  • Familiarity with recruitment platforms and applicant tracking systems (ATS) is a plus
