About the role

We are looking for a Assistant Manager - AI Dev & Operations with a programming background to work in a dynamic tech environment. This is a hybrid role that combines hands-on technical work, administrative coordination, and team support. Your programming knowledge will be essential in helping the Manager understand technical requirements, break down work, and delegate tasks effectively to the development team.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Manager on day-to-day operations and project coordination

• Translate business requirements into clear, actionable tasks for the dev team

• Assist in planning, assigning, and tracking development tasks

• Handle administrative and operational duties such as documentation, reporting, scheduling, and team coordination

• Perform hands-on coding work when required (scripts, database tasks, internal tools)

• Communicate progress, blockers, and risks clearly between the Manager and the team

• Support process improvements, including the use of AI tools to boost productivity

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field

• At least 2 Years of programming experience

• Proficient in Python (especially database work) and PHP

• Experience working with databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar)

• Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or AI APIs) is a strong plus

• Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia

• Organised, detail-oriented, and able to juggle technical and administrative work

• Comfortable working on-site in Cyberjaya with own transport

• Added advantage for candidates with ****experience in leading small teams, using project management tools (Jira, Trello, ClickUp, etc.), and working with version control systems such as Git.
