Job description:

The Service Technician is responsible for ensuring that valves and associated systems function correctly and meet industry standards before being deployed or put into service. This role involves testing valves in industrial systems, pipelines, water treatment, and oil & gas operations to ensure safe and efficient performance under various operating conditions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Valve Testing & Inspection

• Perform functional, pressure, leak, and cycle tests to verify proper valve operation.

• Inspect valves for damage, wear, or performance issues that may affect safety or efficiency.

2. Troubleshooting & Diagnosis

• Identify faults such as leakage, sticking, or pressure irregularities, and determine root causes.

• Assist in carrying out repair or replacement activities as directed by the Service Supervisor.

3. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of all testing, inspection results, maintenance, and repairs performed.

• Generate test reports to document valve performance and compliance with industry standards.

4. Service & Maintenance

• Perform service, maintenance, and repair tasks on valves and actuators as assigned.

• Ensure all work complies with safety procedures, quality standards, and customer requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in servicing valves, actuators, or related equipment.

• Fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude are also encouraged to apply.

• Basic knowledge of valve and actuator systems.

• Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment.

• Ability to interpret and follow technical documentation and instructions.
