Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position for an M&E Project Engineer at WBL Perunding Sdn Bhd. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating mechanical and electrical engineering works for construction projects, ensuring compliance with project requirements, technical standards, and regulatory guidelines. The role requires strong technical knowledge in building services engineering, as well as effective coordination and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.

• Computer literate with working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office applications, and relevant M&E design software.

• Knowledge and practical use of AI tools and digital technologies to improve engineering design, documentation, coordination, and productivity will be an added advantage.

• Familiarity with BIM software, engineering automation tools, or AI-assisted design platforms is preferred.

• Preferably with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in Building Construction Consultancy Works.

• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a positive working attitude.

• Self-motivated, dynamic, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

• Excellent analytical, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines.

• Possess own transportation and willing to travel when required.

Responsibilities (includes but not limited to)

• Involved in project execution, coordination, and implementation.

• Review and verify drawings, technical information, and engineering reports.

• Coordinate with the design team for design development and project execution.

• Attend project meetings, site meetings, and technical discussions.

• Liaise with local authorities, clients, contractors, and relevant stakeholders.

• Coordinate and integrate M&E systems with other building services and disciplines.

• Review, evaluate, and optimize M&E systems for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

• Prepare M&E cost estimates, cost plans, and related documentation.
