JOB PURPOSE


To assist in conducting internal audits, risk assessments, compliance reviews, and monitoring activities to ensure operational effectiveness, compliance with company policies, applicable standards, and regulatory requirements. The role also supports continuous improvement initiatives, internal control enhancement, and governance practices across the organization.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


A. INTERNAL AUDIT FUNCTIONS


  • Assist in planning and conducting internal audits according to the approved audit plan.
  • Perform audit fieldwork, including interviews, document reviews, site inspections, and process walkthroughs.
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, operational processes, and compliance practices.
  • Identify audit findings, weaknesses, gaps, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare audit working papers, audit reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Follow up on audit findings and monitor corrective action implementation status.
  • Support special investigations or ad-hoc reviews when required.


B. RISK MANAGEMENT


  • Assist in identifying operational, financial, compliance, and QHSE-related risks.
  • Support Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) assessment activities.
  • Monitor risk mitigation actions and update risk registers.
  • Participate in risk awareness and risk monitoring initiatives.


C. COMPLIANCE AND GOVERNANCE


  • Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, ISO requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable regulations.
  • Assist in reviewing process compliance across departments and project sites.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of management systems such as: ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 37001.


D. SITE VISITS AND MONITORING


  • Conduct site visits, operational reviews, and compliance inspections at project locations.
  • Observe operational practices and verify implementation of procedures and controls.
  • Assist in monitoring project documentation, material controls, subcontractor compliance, and record management.


E. DOCUMENTATION AND REPORTING


  • Maintain proper audit records, reports, evidence, and filing systems.
  • Prepare audit summaries, presentations, and management reports.
  • Ensure audit documentation is properly controlled and stored.


F. CONTINUOUS MONITORING


  • Recommend improvements for processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in awareness programs, training sessions, and improvement initiatives.
  • Support departmental KPI achievement and innovation initiatives.


JOB REQUIREMENTS


A. Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, Engineering, or a related field


B. Experience


Junior Executive

  • 1 - 3 years of working experience in internal audit, compliance, risk management, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic understanding of audit, compliance, or risk management is an advantage.


Executive

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of working experience in internal audit, compliance, risk management, or related field.
  • Experience in construction, engineering, or project-based industries is an added advantage.


C. Knowledge & Skills

  • Basic understanding of internal audit principles and risk management.
  • Knowledge of ISO management systems is an advantage.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good report writing and documentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Willing to travel and conduct site visits when required.
