Reporting to the Finance Manager, you shall be responsible for the accounts receivable, generate revenue for companies by ensuring that clients are properly billed for goods or services and work with other departments to ensure that the correct amounts are collected in a timely manner, verify and record transactions, resolve account discrepancies, and perform other tasks to secure client payments.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- To report regularly to the finance manager on the work deliverables.
- Ensure petty cash transactions are properly recorded and monitored.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliation, to investigate and resolve any reconciliation differences.
- Processing, verifying, and posting receipts for goods sold or services rendered.
- Researching and resolving account discrepancies.
- Processing and recording transactions.
- Maintaining records regarding payments and account statuses.
- Obtaining information from other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete and that accounts receivable ledgers and journals are up to date.
- Working with the collections department to review accounts, client payments, credit history, and develop new or better repayment terms.
- Process payments for expenses in accordance with approved procedures and agreed credit terms.
- Performing administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts.
- Generating reports and statements for internal use.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 year(s) of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in Food and Beverage sector and handling AR
- Proven experience managing account receivable (AR), or full set of accounts
- Proficient in Oracle software, SQL Accounting System and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
