Role Overview

The incumbent will report to the Regional Commercial Manager, North Asia and SEA 2, and will be accountable for leading and driving commercial goals in Malaysia. The role is responsible for achieving or exceeding the commercial plan for Malaysia across the full range of TBCT products and for planning, designing, and executing sales strategies in close collaboration with the SEA Marketing team, the Malaysia team, and cross‑functional units.

Responsibilities
  • Direct Sales Management: Identify market opportunities by assessing trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and policy dynamics; translate insights into actionable plans; develop account strategies; prioritize accounts; maintain up‑to‑date customer profiles in the CRM; coordinate resources to support customers; plan and conduct sales calls; respond to technical queries; prepare tenders and quotations; follow up on orders, deliveries, installations, and product usage; build long‑term relationships with stakeholders; provide business insights; work cross‑functionally on pricing, segmentation, profitability, and planning; lead commercial performance initiatives; serve as liaison between business units, customers, suppliers, and leadership; drive strategic initiatives based on market analysis; demonstrate a proactive, results‑oriented mindset.
  • Strategic Growth, Planning & Execution: Lead the development and execution of commercial strategies, ensuring alignment across functions; act as a hands‑on leader directing work, developing clear commercial plans, and aligning stakeholders; own business results; collaborate across functions to achieve commercial goals; demonstrate nimble learning and strategic agility in changing markets; embrace change and drive competitiveness.
  • Drive Commercial Success in the Region: Work closely with the Malaysia team and distributors to understand the landscape; develop country plans and mid‑ to long‑term strategies; lead the Malaysia team and distributors to achieve sales targets; develop and implement Key Account strategies; provide implementation support for Terumo BCT products; coordinate with the SEA Marketing Team.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Medical, Life Sciences, or related discipline.
  • Experience: 5–10 years of professional experience, preferably in Diagnostics, Medical Devices, or Life Sciences, with at least 3–5 years in an ASEAN business environment; proven people‑management, direct selling, distributor management, and key account management experience.
  • Business Acumen and Commercial Insight; problem‑solving skills; interpersonal savvy; learning agility; ability to manage ambiguity and complexity; situational adaptability; experience tendering and participation in Singapore; excellent command of English; ability to adapt to diverse cultural environments.
