We are an established electrical construction and engineering company involved in commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects throughout Malaysia. As our company continues to grow, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Engineer / Project Controls Executive to strengthen our project planning, reporting and cost control functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Planning & Scheduling

• Prepare and maintain project schedules and Gantt Charts
• Develop look-ahead schedules and monitor project milestones
• Coordinate with Project Manager, Site Supervisor and Foremen to track project progress
• Identify potential delays and propose corrective actions

Project Cost Control

• Monitor project budget versus actual expenditure
• Track labour costs, material costs and subcontractor costs
• Assist management in monitoring project profitability
• Prepare project cost reports and variance analysis

Project Reporting

• Prepare weekly project status reports
• Prepare monthly management reports and presentation slides
• Maintain project dashboards and progress tracking reports
• Monitor project KPIs and highlight project risks

Project Documentation

• Maintain project documentation and drawing registers
• Track material submissions and approvals
• Compile handover documents and project close-out records
• Ensure project records are complete and up to date

Project Coordination

• Liaise with Project Manager, Site Supervisor, Procurement and Administration teams
• Collect and consolidate project information from multiple project sites
• Support management meetings by preparing project updates and reports

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or related field
• Minimum 2 years working experience in construction, engineering or project management environment
• Fresh graduates with strong analytical skills are encouraged to apply
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, autocad
• Strong reporting, coordination and organizational skills
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
