Company Description PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit is a state-of-the-art motorsports facility officially opened in 1999 and recognized for its ultramodern infrastructure, including the prestigious F1 designation. Located about 85 km from Kuala Lumpur and near Kuala Lumpur International Airport, it is easily accessible via major highways and rail links, making it a prime venue for world-class events. The 5.543 km track features 15 turns, 8 straights, and speeds exceeding 300 km/h, designed to deliver exciting racing and ample overtaking opportunities. With a total capacity of up to 130,000 spectators, including extensive grandstand seating, corporate suites, and a three-storey Pit Building, the circuit serves as the “Home of Motorsports” in Malaysia and aims to position the country as a regional hub for motor racing activities.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Technician Assistant - Facilities Management role based in Sepang at PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit. The Technician Assistant will support the Facilities Management team in the daily upkeep, inspection, and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and infrastructure across the circuit, including trackside facilities, public areas, and administrative spaces. Responsibilities include assisting with routine preventive maintenance, performing basic repairs, monitoring facility conditions, and promptly reporting any faults, safety hazards, or breakdowns. The role will involve supporting event-related facility preparations and tear-downs, coordinating with vendors and contractors as directed, and ensuring all work complies with safety, health, and environmental standards. The Technician Assistant will also help maintain maintenance logs, tools, and inventory, and provide technical support to other departments as needed.
Qualifications

• Strong technical aptitude in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair, with the ability to support routine servicing and basic corrective work.
• Knowledge of Facility Management (FM) and Building Maintenance practices, including inspections, housekeeping of facilities, and adherence to safety procedures.
• Ability to perform Troubleshooting for mechanical, electrical, or facility-related issues and escalate complex problems appropriately.
• Certificate or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, Facilities Management, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Previous experience in a facilities, industrial, stadium, or large-venue environment is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of safety regulations, PPE usage, and safe work practices.
• Ability to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings, and event days, and to perform physically demanding tasks as required.
• Effective communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
