QUANTITY SURVEYOR (QS) PROTÉGÉ TRAINEE

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor (QS) Protégé Trainee to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in cost estimation, contract administration, project budgeting, and quantity measurement while gaining practical experience under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates, and project budgets.
• Measure quantities and evaluate construction works based on drawings and specifications.
• Support the preparation of tender documents, quotations, and contract-related documents.
• Assist in processing progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs and maintain cost control records.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project teams on commercial matters.
• Conduct site visits to verify work progress and measurements when required.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and filing systems.
• Assist with procurement and subcontractor evaluation processes.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of construction contracts, cost estimation, and quantity measurement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of QS software such as CostX, Cubicost, or AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
• Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to learn and develop professionally.

Working Hours: 8:30AM-5:30PM (MON - FRI)
Programme Duration: 8 Months
