Cost ControllerAbout the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Cost Controller to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing food costs, inventory, purchasing activities, and operational controls across our kitchen operations.
You will work closely with chefs, kitchen teams, procurement, and finance to ensure efficient stock management, cost optimization, and compliance with company standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced F&B environment and has a passion for improving operational efficiency and profitability.
Key ResponsibilitiesFood Cost Management
- Monitor food costs and ensure they remain within budget.
- Analyze cost variances and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Investigate causes of wastage, over-portioning, and stock discrepancies.
- Provide recommendations to improve cost efficiency and operational performance.
Inventory Management
- Manage inventory for raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods.
- Conduct regular stock counts and investigate inventory variances.
- Ensure proper stock rotation practices (FIFO) are followed.
- Monitor stock consumption and identify unusual usage patterns.
Purchasing & Supplier Coordination
- Verify supplier pricing and ensure purchases comply with approved quotations and contracts.
- Review purchase orders and supplier invoices for accuracy.
- Work closely with procurement and kitchen teams to optimize purchasing and inventory levels.
- Ensure supplier documentation is submitted accurately and on time.
Kitchen Operations Support
- Support kitchen teams in maintaining recipe and portion control standards.
- Help reduce food wastage and improve inventory utilization.
- Collaborate with chefs and outlet teams to maintain consistency in food quality and cost control.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare cost analysis reports and provide insights to management.
- Conduct periodic reviews of inventory, purchasing, and operational processes.
- Identify operational risks and recommend process improvements.
- Assist in ensuring accurate sales, inventory, and financial records.
What We're Looking For
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, F&B Management, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in F&B cost control, inventory management, purchasing, or kitchen operations.
- Good understanding of food costing, inventory control, and kitchen operations.
- Experience using POS and inventory management systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail with a strong sense of integrity and accountability.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
