PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Senior Structural Engineer will provide engineering support to both internal and external clients whilst leading and mentoring a small team of engineer within organization.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain design tools and procedures to assist the technical department in the day-to-day designs;
- Assist with research and development projects as well as product compliance of existing and new product groups, including the development of calculation models and technical literature;
- Assist with the preparation of plans with detailed drawings that include project specifications and cost estimates;
- Lead and mentor a small team of engineer of the technical department;
- Assists with technical presentations to internal and external parties as required;
- Keep informed on industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies, and the latest product-line developments;
- Ensure compliance with all personal obligations under Health and Safety legislation and adhere to Company H&S policies and procedures, whilst working and striving to improve the internal Safety Audit;
- It is not possible to enumerate all duties, but your scope covers all technical and engineering-related responsibilities;

Key Functional Competencies And Relevan Experience
- Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil & Structural).
- Relevant working experience in related fields — construction, engineering & design, architecture, and building materials including hands-on and report/document writing.
- Sound knowledge of fundamental structural engineering principles.
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD.
- Experience with Precast Concrete lifting and connections would be an advantage.
