About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer to join our project team in Selangor. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure all construction activities comply with project specifications, applicable standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.

The QA/QC Engineer will work closely with project managers, site teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients to uphold quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the project's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with company procedures and project requirements.
• Prepare, review, and manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, quality procedures, and checklists.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant codes and standards.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and relevant authorities.
• Monitor and manage material submissions, sample approvals, and material inspections.
• Review and verify quality records, test reports, calibration certificates, and inspection documentation.
• Raise, track, and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Corrective Action Requests (CARs), and Preventive Action Requests (PARs).
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
• Prepare and submit quality reports, including weekly and monthly quality performance reports.
• Support internal and external quality audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Coordinate project handover activities, including punch lists, defect rectification, and final quality documentation.
• Promote quality awareness and continuous improvement initiatives across project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in QA/QC within the construction industry, preferably with a main contractor.
• Experience in industrial buildings, data centres, semiconductor facilities, commercial developments, or high-rise projects will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, inspection processes, and testing requirements.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and relevant local regulations.
• Experience in preparing and managing ITPs, NCRs, CARs, and quality documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and document management systems.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
