Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Operation & Maintenance Engineer to oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and performance of Solar PV power plants. The candidate will be responsible for plant monitoring, troubleshooting, reporting, and ensuring all maintenance activities comply with OEM and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and execute daily, weekly and monthly O&M activities to ensure smooth operation of solar power plants

• Manage project commissioning and handover from Project team to Operation & Maintenance team

• Monitor plant performance on a daily basis and conduct root cause analysis for underperformance

• Identify faults and develop corrective action plans, including preventive and predictive maintenance

• Arrange site work schedules and supervise site team activities

• Provide technical support during installation, start-up, testing, commissioning, and performance monitoring

• Travel to project sites and client locations for installation, repair, maintenance, and modification works

• Coordinate sourcing and procurement of materials, tools, and contractors

• Work closely with internal departments on payment, procurement, documentation, and site execution

• Ensure all O&M activities comply with OEM requirements and warranty conditions

• Record and report all faults, deficiencies, and unusual occurrences, including time and materials used

• Prepare weekly reports, maintenance reports, performance reports, and provide updates to manager

• Respond to emergency call-outs and outage issues within 1–2 hours (based on travel distance)

• Ensure outage issues are closed within 1 day if no parts replacement is required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Renewable Energy or equivalent

• Preferably 1–2 years working experience in solar or electrical maintenance. Fresh graduate welcome to apply

• Hands-on electrical background with troubleshooting and wiring experience

• Knowledge of Solar PV systems, commissioning and maintenance

• Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong time management and problem-solving skills

• Data-driven with strong reporting and analytical ability

• Flexible to support installation role when required

• Willing to travel and work at project sites

• Must possess own transport and valid driving license.
