Full Time Production Technician - Casting Jobs, Salary up to MYR 2,200 in PMB ALUMINIUM SDN. BHD. Sarawak - Maukerja

Key Responsibilities

• Operate casting machines and related equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor casting parameters such as temperature, pressure, and metal flow to ensure product quality.
• Perform routine inspections to identify casting defects and take corrective actions.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance of casting equipment.
• Ensure production targets are achieved while minimizing scrap and downtime.
• Record production data, machine parameters, and quality inspection results accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S practices.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and quality management procedures.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality Control, and Maintenance teams to resolve process issues.
• Assist in process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support machine setup and changeover activities when required.

Requirements

• Diploma, Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Metallurgy, or a related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a casting, foundry, die casting, or metal manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of casting processes, molten metal handling, and quality inspection methods.
• Ability to read technical drawings and work instructions.
• Basic troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as vernier calipers and micrometers.
• Willing to work shifts, overtime, and weekends when required.
• Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with aluminium casting or die casting processes.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen.
• Understanding of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other quality management systems.
• Forklift or overhead crane operation experience (if applicable).

Working Conditions

• Work in a manufacturing and foundry environment with exposure to heat, noise, and molten metal.
• Required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Shift work may be required.
