Position : Technical and Service Engineer
Location: Persiaran Jubli Perak, Seksyen 22, 40300 Shah Alam, Selangor
Industry: Renewable energy equipment manufacturing and wholesale trade industry
Contract: 12 months via PERSOL
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM) & Saturday (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM)
Working Arrangement: Fully onsite
Salary: RM5,000 – RM6,300 (based on experience & skills)
About the Role
This role offers a combination of technical training, customer engagement, installation support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and innovative energy solutions, making it an excellent opportunity for engineers who enjoy both office-based and field-based responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Training & Technical Enablement
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs on inverter installation, operation, and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain training materials, including manuals, presentations, videos, and user guides.
- Conduct workshops, seminars, webinars, and hands-on customer training sessions.
- Assess participants' understanding and provide feedback to improve learning outcomes.
- Continuously update training content to reflect new product enhancements and industry best practices.
Technical Service & Support
- Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance for Solar PV systems.
- Conduct on-site installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair activities.
- Provide technical guidance and ongoing support to customers.
- Ensure optimal system performance through effective diagnosis and resolution of technical issues.
Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving
- Investigate technical failures and recurring faults.
- Conduct site assessments and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Prepare detailed technical reports and recommendations for management and customers.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and performance.
Documentation & Inventory Management
- Prepare and submit technical documentation upon project completion.
- Maintain accurate service records and spare parts inventory.
- Ensure proper traceability and tracking of spare parts movement.
- Submit daily work reports in Excel format to the reporting supervisor.
Industry Engagement
- Participate in conferences, exhibitions, and B2B meetings.
- Stay updated on emerging solar PV technologies, energy storage solutions, and industry innovations.
Who We're Looking For?
- Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable conducting both customer training and field maintenance activities.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Malaysia as required (e.g. Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Selangor)
- Occasional overseas travel, mainly to Singapore
