The Machine Operator plays a key role in supporting precision manufacturing operations . The ideal candidate will bring strong machining experience, a commitment to quality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment . Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, the Machine Operator will start and observe machine operations, detect malfunctions, and adjust machine controls as required .
This position plays a crucial role in the production of high-precision components for the semiconductor industry .
Key Responsibilities1. Machine Operation & Setup
- Set up machine and tooling for operation according to Work Instructions and Tooling List
- Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining
- Adjust machine controls or control media as required
- Understand blueprints, drawings, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations
- Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, and similar CNC machine tools
- Refer to the tooling list and install correct tooling; enter and verify tool offsets
- Perform tasks such as Bending, Tacking, Welding, Tweaking, and Leak-Testing
2. Quality Control & Inspection
- Verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications using various measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and depth micrometers
- Familiarity with elementary CMM, GD&T, and SPC
- Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools
- Ensure parts meet dimensional and surface finish requirements
- Inspect materials and finished products for quality, reporting any issues to the supervisor
3. Documentation & Reporting
- Complete the necessary paperwork and computer entry steps
- Complete production logs and documentation accurately
- Communicate process issues to supervisor for investigation
4. Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on machines
- Identify and report machine malfunctions or tool wear
- Perform machine routine preventive maintenance
- Communicate with supervisor, CAM programmers, and quality inspectors to resolve issues
5. Safety & Housekeeping
- Observe all safety standards and maintain a secure, safe, clean, and healthy work environment
- Follow operating instructions, use protective equipment when required, and use equipment and materials properly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Adhere to all safety and company policies and procedures
Key RequirementsEducation
- Minimum SPM or equivalent
- Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Machining, Industrial Maintenance, or related field is preferred
- Possession of certification in welding or any engineering field will be an added advantage
Experience
- 1+ years of experience in machining or a similar role
- Previous experience working in a factory is beneficial
- Metalworking experience preferred
Technical Skills
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to perform non-complex adjustments and changes to machinery

- Attentiveness to detail to spot flaws in products or problems with equipment
- Problem-solving abilities
- Time management skills to produce the required number of parts or products each shift

Language
- Able to communicate in both English & Bahasa Malaysia (written & oral)
- Good vision and able to see and read engineering drawings
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain at workstation for prolonged periods
- Must be medically fit
- Open to Malaysian nationals only
Pay: RM1,900.00 - RM2,100.00 per month
