About the role

Kencana Pharma Tech Sdn Bhd seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant (Pharmacist) to join our Clinical and Medical Research team. This is a full-time position based in Jitra, Kedah, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to pharmaceutical research and development within a dynamic healthcare organisation. In this role, you will support clinical research initiatives whilst applying your pharmaceutical knowledge to advance our research objectives and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design, planning and execution of clinical and pharmaceutical research projects
• Conduct literature reviews and analyse existing pharmaceutical data to support research initiatives
• Prepare and maintain accurate research documentation, including protocols, reports and regulatory submissions
• Support the recruitment and screening of research participants, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines
• Collect, process and analyse research samples and data under supervision
• Monitor participant safety and adverse events throughout research studies
• Liaise with healthcare professionals and external stakeholders to facilitate research activities
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards and good laboratory practices
• Maintain laboratory equipment and manage research inventory and supplies
• Contribute to the preparation of research findings for publication and presentation

What we're looking for

• A recognised pharmacy degree or equivalent qualification
• Current professional registration or eligibility to register as a pharmacist in Malaysia
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences, drug interactions and clinical pharmacology
• Experience in clinical research, laboratory work or healthcare settings is highly desirable
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Proficiency in data collection, analysis and scientific report writing
• Ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively as part of a research team
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards
• Computer literacy and familiarity with research data management systems
