Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Engineer (Oil & Gas Segmentation) role based in Shah Alam. The Sales Engineer will engage with oil and gas clients to identify automation and control requirements, propose suitable technical solutions, and prepare quotations and technical-commercial proposals. Day-to-day tasks include conducting product presentations and demonstrations, supporting bid and tender activities, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure solution feasibility and alignment with client specifications. The role involves providing pre- and post-sales technical support, maintaining strong customer relationships, and monitoring market trends and competitor activities in the oil and gas sector. The Sales Engineer will also contribute to sales planning, forecasting, and reporting to support business growth.

Qualifications

• Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills, with the ability to translate client requirements into viable automation and control solutions.
• Sales and Customer Service skills to manage the full sales cycle, nurture client relationships, and ensure a positive customer experience.
• Strong Communication skills, including the ability to present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
• At-least 4-5 years experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly in automation, instrumentation, or process control, is highly advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects and client accounts simultaneously.
• Proficiency in preparing technical proposals, cost estimates, and tender documentation; familiarity with DCS, SCADA, and field instrumentation is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and project locations as required.
