Application engineers are people who work with computers to design and improve specialty equipment and enhance software programs. They work with various departments within companies such as customer service, sales and manufacturing, to ensure that client specifications are met.
Application engineers are problem solvers who not only provide assistance to the sales department and answer questions about the technical functionality from the client, but they are also asked to provide technical support for products from customer service departments. They are responsible for presenting information and new ideas to be implemented into new and existing products to the client.
Essential Job Functions
- To design specialist that drafts System Design for Proposal submission and prepares Layout Drawing for Customer's AFC and BOM for costing purposes.
- To review technical requirement on Work Order and to contact customer
- Affirm order detail.
- To establish whether site survey is required.
- Attend Technical meetings and to assist Sales Dept. in providing Product understanding and Technical clarification to Customer.
- To recommend Parts used in the System design and to work closely with Supplier for best alternative parts available in the market.
- Control and maintain Drawings and BOMs under proper filing and backup softcopy.
- To issue new Parts drawing to Buyer.
- To assign IPN to new Parts.
- Actively participate in all R&D activities for Lean design solutions.
- To participate in solving technical issues on the production floor.
- Assist in all technical enquiries.
- To ensure specifications on Technical Drawings and BOMs are clear and correct.
- To actively participate in improvement programs initiated by the Company.
- To ensure that departmental Quality Objectives are met.
- Fully participate and implement 5S programme.
- Undertake and implement the requirement of Company's Quality Systems./
- To adhere to Company ethics and working policies as long as he is employed by the Company.
- To undertake tasks deemed necessary by the Management from time to time.
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
