About the job
This is a group-level role within the Finance & Accounting department, responsible for overseeing financial reporting, group consolidation, statutory compliance, and corporate reporting for a listed organisation. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will work closely with finance teams across the group to ensure accurate reporting, strengthen financial governance, and support key business initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- Manage group consolidation activities and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Review financial results and perform analytical assessments to identify trends, variances, and key business insights
- Coordinate with subsidiary finance teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in group reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities across the group
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and company secretaries on statutory and compliance matters
- Oversee tax-related submissions, transfer pricing documentation, and other regulatory reporting requirements
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of finance policies, internal controls, and standard operating procedures
- Support corporate exercises, business improvement initiatives, and other strategic finance projects as required
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, MIA, or equivalent is preferred
- Minimum 5 years of relevant finance experience, with strong exposure to group consolidation and financial reporting
- Experience within a listed company environment is highly preferred
- Good understanding of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and statutory reporting requirements
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP will be an added advantage
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
