Key Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance of plant machinery, facilities, and utilities to ensure smooth operations
- Plan and coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability
- Lead and manage engineering projects, including upgrades, modifications, and process improvements
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for equipment and production issues
- Monitor maintenance budget, control costs, and prepare monthly reports on maintenance performance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce downtime
- Manage utilities consumption (electricity, water, etc.) and implement cost-saving measures
- Liaise with utility providers (e.g. TNB, Air Selangor) on service and compliance matters
- Liaise with regulatory bodies (e.g. DOSH, DOE, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, BOMBA) to ensure full compliance
- Ensure plant facilities (e.g. IETS, STP, dust collectors) operate within regulatory limits
- Supervise maintenance team and contractors to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with QHSE standards and certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, HACCP, Halal, etc.)
- Monitor plant assets and coordinate with finance/accounting for costing and asset tracking
- Drive automation and equipment upgrades to improve productivity
- Develop and implement workplace safety and health programs in line with legal requirements
- Coach and develop team members, including training on SOPs, technical skills, and safety practices
- Support any other duties as assigned by Management
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Industrial or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering/maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of plant maintenance, utilities management, and engineering projects
- Experience in regulatory compliance and audits (e.g. ISO, HACCP, Halal, DOSH, BOMBA, HSE)
- Good project management and planning skills with ability to handle multiple priorities
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Proactive, hands-on, and able to work independently
- Good leadership and team management experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Innovative mindset with continuous improvement approach
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
