Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Quantity Surveyor role based in Shah Alam. The Junior Quantity Surveyor will assist in preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents for ongoing and upcoming projects. The role involves measuring and valuing work done on-site, supporting cost control and budgeting, and updating project cost reports under the guidance of senior team members. The Junior Quantity Surveyor will help review contractor claims, track variations, and ensure accurate documentation of quantities and costs. The position also includes coordinating with project engineers, site supervisors, and suppliers to gather data, clarify specifications, and maintain clear records.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of quantity surveying principles, cost estimation, and measurement of construction works.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction-related documents.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and other relevant software; familiarity with quantity surveying or estimating tools is an advantage.
• Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills for managing documentation and cost data.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with project teams, contractors, and suppliers.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Willingness to learn from senior team members and adapt to established processes and standards.
• Ability to work on-site in Shah Alam and commit to full-time working hours.
• Previous internship or entry-level experience in construction or quantity surveying is beneficial but not mandatory.
