Make a meaningful difference by supporting adolescent residents within a safe and therapeutic residential-care environment.
Responsibilities
Provide daily supervision and trauma-informed care to adolescent residents
Support residents’ physical, emotional, educational and social well-being
Guide residents through their daily routines and personal-development goals
Serve as a positive role model and mentor
Manage and de-escalate conflicts, crises and challenging behaviours
Implement individual care plans with the multidisciplinary team
Prepare incident reports, case documentation and shift handovers
Maintain residents’ safety, confidentiality and professional boundaries
Requirements
Minimum Diploma qualification
No prior experience required; relevant experience is advantageous
Fresh graduates in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Healthcare or related disciplines are welcome
Passionate about youth mentoring, rehabilitation and residential care
Patient, empathetic, emotionally mature and resilient
Able to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally
Able to commit to a rotating three-shift roster, including weekends and Public Holidays
Flexible working arrangements are unavailable for this position
Working Arrangements
Five-day work week based on roster
Rotating three-shift schedule
Exact shift hours vary according to roster and operational requirements
Rest days based on roster
Salary and Benefits
Basic salary: $2,500 – $3,300
Weekday night shift allowance: $25 per shift
Weekend/Public Holiday night shift allowance: $35 per shift
OT payment, if applicable
AWS provided
