Purpose of the Role

The Finance Manager is a key member of the local leadership team, responsible for ensuring financial integrity, cost visibility, working capital discipline, and decision-support for the operation.

While the operation is lean in headcount, it is heavy in commercial and distribution importance, requiring a hands-on Finance Manager who acts as both:

  • Financial controller, and
  • Business partner to Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain.

The role oversees accounting, forecasting, budgeting, cashflow, reporting, and plays a critical role in ERP discipline (e.g. D365), margin analysis, and working capital management, and inventory management through governance , control, reporting and business partnering.


Educational Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline

Preferred

  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent
  • ERP finance system exposure (D365 preferred)
  • Registered as Chartered Accountant


Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 8–10 years of relevant finance experience
  • At least 3–5 years in a Finance Manager or senior finance role
  • Experience in distribution, manufacturing, industrial products, oil & gas supply chains, or B2B operations preferred
  • Strong hands-on experience in:
  • Forecasting & budgeting
  • Margin and cost analysis
  • Working capital management
  • ERP-based finance operations


Additional Requirements

  • Strong working proficiency in English
  • Familiar with Local statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements
  • Eligible to work in Local, Kaoshiong


Job Scope / Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead monthly forecasting of revenue, cost of sales, operating expenses, and cashflow.
  • Track and explain variances between forecast and actual results.
  • Support management with budgeting, budget revision, scenario analysis, and business planning.


2. Closing & Financial Reporting

  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end closing.
  • Maintain clean, auditable records for:
  • Journal entries
  • Reconciliations
  • Intercompany transactions
  • Prepare and present management reports, including:
  • P&L
  • Balance Sheet
  • Cashflow
  • Variance analysis
  • Other applicable analysis


3. Budget Control & Cost Discipline

  • Monitor departmental spending against approved budgets.
  • Work closely with Operations and Sales to maintain cost discipline.
  • Flag and escalate over-budget or non-approved expenditures early.


4. Working Capital Management

  • Actively manage and monitor:
  • Accounts receivable (DSO)
  • Inventory levels and aging
  • Accounts payable
  • Partner with Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain to:
  • Reduce slow-moving and obsolete inventory
  • Improve collection cycles
  • Optimize cash conversion


5. ERP & Systems Discipline

  • Act as the finance process owner for ERP / finance systems (e.g. D365).
  • Ensure:
  • Accurate master data
  • Proper chart of accounts
  • Correct transaction flows
  • Enforce system usage discipline across invoicing, costing, accruals, and reporting.


6. Margin Management & Commercial Support

  • Provide regular gross margin analysis by customer, product group, or channel.
  • Highlight low-margin or loss-making transactions and support corrective actions.
  • Support pricing, quotation reviews, and commercial decision-making with sound financial inputs.


7. Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with:
  • Company financial policies
  • Local statutory and tax requirements
  • Audit and internal control standards
  • Maintain asset registers, approval controls, and risk mitigation practices.


8. People Management

  • Lead and develop a small finance / accounts team (if applicable).
  • Establish clear roles, SOPs, and review routines.
  • Coach team members to improve accuracy, discipline, and system proficiency.


Training Requirements

  1. ERP / finance system training (D365 or equivalent)
  2. Internal controls and audit readiness training
  3. Business partnering and commercial finance skills development
  4. Applicable Accounting standards update


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Forecast accuracy (revenue, cost, cashflow)
  • Drive Revenue , Cost control and margin management
  • Timeliness and accuracy of month-end closing
  • Budget variance analysis and control
  • Working capital improvement (DSO, inventory days)
  • ERP finance process compliance
  • Quality and relevance of management reporting
  • Accuracy and timely submission of margin management and commercial data reporting
  • Strengthen governance and control


Work Environment

  • Office-based with close interaction with warehouse and operations teams
  • High cross-functional engagement
  • Periodic pressure during month-end , audit period and planning cycles
