Job Description
Responsibilities
Interpret architectural and structural drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Perform setting out, leveling, and surveying the site to ensure accurate positioning of works.
Monitor daily site progress and ensure workmanship meets the required quality standards and building codes.
Conduct regular site inspections and manage the "snagging" (punch list) process before project handover.
Assist the Project Manager in developing schedules and milestones.
Coordinate with subcontractors, site foremen, and laborers to ensure efficient resource allocation.
Manage the procurement and delivery of materials, ensuring they meet specifications and are stored correctly.
Identify potential technical bottlenecks and propose practical engineering solutions to keep the project on track.
Ensure all site activities comply with occupational health and safety regulations.
Conduct safety inductions and toolbox talks for workers and subcontractors.
Perform risk assessments and ensure that Method Statements are strictly followed.
Promote a "zero-harm" culture on-site.
Maintain accurate site diaries, progress reports, and photographic records.
Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and track changes to design documents.
Verify measurements for work completed to assist with subcontractor payment applications and valuations.
Any other duties as assigned by Superior(S).
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, management or similar.
At least 1 years of working experience in the related field.
Construction estimating or finance experienced is advantageous.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
