Role Description As a Takaful Advisor at AIA, the individual will provide Shariah-compliant protection and savings solutions to clients, helping them plan for long-term financial security and risk management. This full-time hybrid role is based in Shah Alam, with a combination of in-office activities and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting prospective and existing clients, conducting financial needs analyses, explaining Takaful concepts and product features, and recommending suitable plans. The Takaful Advisor will prepare proposals, handle applications, follow up on policy servicing requests, and maintain accurate client records. The role also involves participating in training sessions, collaborating with team members, meeting sales and service targets, and adhering to regulatory, Shariah, and company compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • Client advisory and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build trust, explain complex concepts clearly, and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Sales and business development capabilities, such as prospecting, networking, presenting solutions, and working towards defined performance targets.
  • Financial literacy and analytical skills to conduct needs-based assessments, understand Takaful and insurance products, and provide appropriate recommendations.
  • Organizational and time management skills to manage appointments, follow-ups, documentation, and compliance requirements efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills in English and relevant local languages, with clear written and verbal abilities suitable for client-facing work.
  • Comfort with digital tools and remote collaboration platforms for hybrid work, including basic proficiency in office software and CRM systems.
  • Knowledge or interest in Takaful and Shariah principles; prior experience in financial services or insurance is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Minimum of a diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, business, economics, or related disciplines), or equivalent professional experience.
