About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manager, Warehousing & Distribution, to lead FMX's nationwide warehouse operations across Peninsular and East Malaysia, including our retail distribution channel.
This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring service quality, optimizing warehouse performance, strengthening inventory governance, and leading transformation initiatives through digitalization and process standardization. The successful candidate will oversee multiple warehouse locations while developing a high-performing leadership team to support the company's long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Lead and oversee warehouse operations across all national warehouse sites and retail distribution channels.
- Ensure fulfillment service levels, inventory accuracy, productivity, and operational efficiency are consistently achieved.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across warehousing and distribution operations.
- Lead operational readiness for peak periods, business expansion, and new customer implementations.
Performance Management
- Review weekly operational performance across all sites, including:
- Service Level Achievement (SLA)
- Order Accuracy
- Productivity
- Billing Performance
- Monitor warehouse operating costs and labor productivity.
- Ensure billing completeness and eliminate revenue leakage from warehouse operations.
Inventory & Warehouse Management
- Establish strong inventory governance across all locations.
- Lead monthly inventory review meetings covering:
- Cycle Counts
- Stock Variances
- Write-offs
- Shrinkage Management
- Drive inventory accuracy through best practices and system controls.
Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement
- Develop national warehouse capacity planning and space optimization strategies.
- Drive Warehouse Management System (WMS) utilization and digital transformation initiatives.
- Standardize warehouse processes across all sites.
- Identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency and customer experience.
Leadership & People Development
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse managers and supervisors nationwide.
- Build leadership capability and succession pipelines.
- Foster a high-performance and accountability-driven culture.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with warehouse operational standards, safety requirements, and 5S practices.
- Conduct quarterly site visits and operational audits.
- Drive continuous improvement in safety and compliance performance.
Customer & Business Support
- Partner with Business Development and Operations teams during customer onboarding.
- Support the design and implementation of warehousing solutions for new business opportunities.
- Maintain strong customer service standards across all warehouse operations.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Postgraduate qualification or MBA is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Warehousing, Distribution, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
- At least 5 years in a senior management or multi-site leadership role.
- Proven experience managing multiple warehouse locations.
- Strong track record in warehouse transformation, process improvement, and operational excellence.
- Experience implementing or managing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
