Role Purposes
Executive Purchasing is responsible for supporting the central purchasing function while ensuring effective cost control measures are implemented across procurement activities. The executive will track, analyze, and report on purchasing expenses, while also contributing to cost-saving strategies and process improvements within the purchasing department.
Duties and Responsibilities
Purchasing and ERP (FMH) Management
- Act as the primary custodian of the ERP (FMH) purchasing module. Create, update, and maintain the master database for vendors, inventory items, stock keeping units (SKUs), and pricing.
- Continuously evaluate and streamline digital purchasing workflows (Requisition - Purchase Order - Goods Received Note - Invoicing) to eliminate bottlenecks.
- Liaison with external ERP (FMH) software vendors for technical support.
Cost Control and Budget Management
- Assist in preparing and reviewing budgets for the purchasing department, providing insights into cost trends and potential savings
Supplier Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and vendors, ensuring the best value for money in all procurement transactions.
Inventory and Stock Management
- Assist in managing inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts, ensuring efficient and cost-effective inventory turnover.
Cost Analysis and Reporting
- Provide management with detailed reports on purchasing trends, supplier performance, and opportunities for cost-saving improvements.
Process Improvement
- Help assess and improve the efficiency of purchasing processes, ensuring that best practices in cost control are implemented.
Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor in Business Management (or related course)
- Experience in strategic Purchasing (Retails/F&B) industry typically 2-3 years
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, V-Look Up, ERP System
- Strong negotiation skill and manage suppliers' relationship
- Knowledge of purchasing steps, compliance standard and regulation/laws
- Detail to attention and analytical thinking
Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
