Job Purpose:

• In the Cluster Delivery Organization, Business Specialists, Business Experts, Engineer Specialists, Engineers, and Product Owners work together in a team. Agile methods help employees perform their functions by enabling a fast and flexible response to changing conditions and customer needs through an iterative approach and continuous development of new solutions.
• End-to-end Database Tools Programming and Integration (for Oracle / MS-SQL / PostgreSQL) to design, develop and optimize data architecture including writing complex data handling stored procedures, packages, functions and covering database performance analysis using "SQL,PL/SQL,PL/pgSQL,T-SQL,Python,Perl,API, Power Shell" programming tiers, crash diagnostics and 3d level support, collaboration on Database automation workflows on Linux and Windows platforms, technical guidance during infrastructure maintenance or platform migrations. and acts in the role of the Cell Member together with Database Administration and Database Automation engineers.
• The engineer has an agile and digital mindset that always adapts to the current requirements using the appropriate development options.
• This role requires working EMEA hours (3:00 pm – 12:00 am), with a shift allowance provided.

Key Activities:

• Database Development: Design and implement robust database structures, including tables, views,, indexes, packages, stored procedures and functions, using SQL and NoSQL technologies for (Oracle / MS-SQL / PostgreSQL) and their needed integration services.
• Back-end Logic: Write, debug, and optimize complex stored procedures, functions, and triggers
• ETL & integration: Build and maintain ETL pipelines to migrate data between disparate systems and data warehouses including the design of data transfer interfaces ( Linked servers or database links).and loading data into the database using the API calls.
• Work closely with Database Infrastructure and Database Automation Engineers to integrate back-end code in the automation pipelines and assist in API development
• Collaborate with database operations, database infrastructure engineers to automate the provisioning or removal of Database IT infrastructure on Linux or Windows systems using automated processes and pipelines.
• Leverage Automation Platform tools or and their features or cloud provider tool kits and APIs to manage and scale automation workflows for database products deployments across multiple environments (on-premise and cloud).
• providing advanced support for relevant systems, data maintenance, reporting and authorization management
• Adherence to security and development standards and ensure stable operation with respect to products, services processes and systems

Formal Education:

• University/University of Applied Sciences or equivalent professional experience
• At least 5 years of professional experience
• Experience in IT operations; has own responsibility for systems and/or complex processes

Qualifications & Experience:

• Technical Mastery in minimum 2 of : SQL, PL/SQL, PL/pgSQL, T-SQL
• Technical Mastery in scripting skills using languages like Python and API
• Strong programming scripting skills in Bash, Windows Power Shell
• Deep understanding of relational database design, normalization, and indexing strategies.
• Familiarity in Database administration is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Software Development lifecycle, testing concepts, version control systems, and release management in Linux or Windows systems
• Experience in code optimization tools and performance monitoring (e.g EXPLAIN ANALYZE, Profiler)
• Familiarity with Ci/CD pipelines and version control for database schemas (e.g. Liquibase or Flyway)
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver effective solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Certifications related to cloud platforms and automation tools are of advantage
• Experience with advanced application deployment strategies.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and practices.
• Knowledge of best practices for security and compliance.
