Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Contract Executive (Quantity Surveyor) to manage all contractual and commercial aspects of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of quantity surveying, contract administration, cost control, procurement, and project claims. You will work closely with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered within budget while minimising contractual risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, Bills of Quantities (BQ), and tender documents.
• Review tender submissions, evaluate quotations, and recommend subcontractor awards.
• Prepare, negotiate, and administer subcontract agreements.
• Monitor project costs, variations, and contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare progress claims, payment certificates, and final accounts.
• Evaluate and process subcontractor progress claims and final claims.
• Manage variation orders, extension of time (EOT), contractual correspondence, and claims.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms, company policies, and project requirements.
• Identify contractual risks and provide practical commercial advice to the project team.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors on contractual matters.
• Maintain accurate project cost records and prepare regular cost reports.
• Support project tendering, budgeting, and value engineering initiatives.
• Mentor and guide junior QS staff where required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract (PAM, CIDB, FIDIC, etc.).
• Experience in tendering, procurement, contract administration, cost control, and final accounts.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project costing.
• Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in building or infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with contract claims, dispute resolution, and value engineering.
• Ability to lead contractual discussions and provide commercial recommendations.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
