Job Summary
MNG Global Resources Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to manage skid tank projects and other mechanical, hydraulic, fuel handling, and industrial engineering projects from project initiation through completion.

The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning, engineering coordination, technical documentation, procurement support, costing, site supervision, installation, testing, commissioning, and project handover.

This role requires close collaboration with customers, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management

• Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering projects from award to completion.
• Prepare project schedules, work plans, and monitor project progress.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and timelines.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Conduct project meetings and provide regular progress updates to management and clients.
• Manage project documentation, inspections, testing, commissioning, and final handover.

Engineering & Technical

• Prepare engineering calculations, technical drawings, and project documentation.
• Review customer specifications, drawings, and technical requirements.
• Assist in preparing P&IDs, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, layouts, and fabrication drawings.
• Support design improvements and engineering solutions for skid tank systems, fuel transfer systems, hydraulic systems, and related equipment.
• Coordinate installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical recommendations.

Costing & Procurement

• Prepare project cost estimates, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and material take-offs.
• Prepare technical proposals and project quotations.
• Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Monitor material deliveries and supplier performance.
• Control project costs and recommend cost-saving initiatives.

Documentation & Procedures

• Prepare project reports, method statements, work instructions, inspection reports, and commissioning reports.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), installation procedures, and maintenance manuals.
• Prepare project quality documents, inspection test plans (ITP), and checklists.
• Ensure all project documentation is complete before project handover.

Site Supervision

• Supervise fabrication, installation, piping, mechanical works, and testing activities.
• Coordinate with customers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure all site activities comply with safety requirements and project specifications.
• Resolve technical issues during project execution.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and client requirements.
• Conduct site risk assessments before project execution.
• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards and regulations.
• Promote continuous improvement in project execution and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with 1–2 years of experience in project engineering, mechanical works, fabrication, piping, hydraulic systems, or industrial projects will have an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, fabrication, piping, tanks, or hydraulic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or other CAD software is an advantage.
• Good project coordination and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and report-writing skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Willing to travel throughout Malaysia for project site work.
• Possess a valid Malaysian driving licence (preferred).

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
