Job Title: Finance Lead (Plant-Based Position)

Location: Hybrid – Sekinchan & Shah Alam

Industry: Manufacturing (Home Appliances / Consumer Electronics)

Company Overview

Our client is a well-established manufacturer in the home appliances / consumer electronics industry, with plant operations in Sekinchan and a corporate office in Shah Alam. As the business continues to grow, they are looking for a Finance Lead to be based at the plant, working in a hybrid arrangement across both sites, with strong ownership of costing, BOM, and FP&A functions to support plant-level financial decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant-level costing activities, including standard costing, cost variance analysis, and cost control initiatives to support manufacturing efficiency.
• Own and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) data, working closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure costing integrity.
• Drive Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial performance reporting for the plant.
• Partner with plant leadership to provide financial insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Monitor plant financial performance against budget, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes related to plant costing and inventory valuation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant accounting standards at the plant level.
• Coordinate with finance teams across Sekinchan and Shah Alam to ensure consistency in reporting and processes.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Strong hands-on experience in Costing, BOM management, and FP&A, ideally within a manufacturing or plant environment.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage financial matters across multiple sites.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering with non-finance teams such as production and supply chain.
• Willing to work in a hybrid arrangement between Sekinchan and Shah Alam.
