Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Operations and Maintenance Engineer role based in Selangor, Malaysia. The role involves monitoring, operating, and maintaining solar PV systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and regulatory compliance. Day-to-day tasks include conducting inspections, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical issues, and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders. The engineer will document maintenance activities, prepare performance reports, support continuous improvement initiatives, and assist in implementing operational procedures and best practices. The role also requires participation in site visits, system testing, and commissioning support when needed.

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in Electrical Engineering, with practical experience in solar PV systems or power systems.
• Proficiency in Troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques for electrical and mechanical components.
• Experience with Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance Management, including scheduling, documentation, and reporting.
• Effective Communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams, contractors, and clients.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• Familiarity with relevant Malaysian regulations, standards, and safety practices for electrical installations and solar PV systems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, single-line diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work independently on-site.
• Willingness to travel to project locations within Malaysia and work in outdoor environments when required.
• Professional certifications or licenses (e.g., chargeman, PV installer) are an advantage.
