Purnama Solution (M) Sdn Bhd is looking for a practical and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Control Executive/Manager to strengthen our commercial control, quotation checking, claims verification, and project cost discipline.

We are looking for someone with a construction / civil / infrastructure background, preferably with exposure to fiber, HDD, utility, electrical, trenching, ducting, reinstatement, or related project works. The right candidate must be able to review, prepare quotations, verify quantities, check project claims, assess variation orders, and go to site when required to confirm actual work progress and supporting evidence.

This role will work closely with operations, project managers, procurement, and finance to ensure all quotations, quantities, claims, and supporting documents are properly checked before submission for approval.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify supplier quotations, project costing, and rate comparisons
• Check project quantities, measurements, and claimable work before submission
• Review and verify variation orders, rate build-up, and commercial supporting documents
• Ensure all project claims are supported with proper quantities, evidence, and documentation
• Work closely with project managers and operations to verify work done and supporting records
• Conduct site verification when required to confirm actual progress and claim accuracy
• Check whether submitted quantities and claims are reasonable and aligned with site conditions
• Coordinate on quotation comparison and commercial review
• Prepare commercial summaries, claim checks, and approval support documents for management
• Maintain quotation tracker, claim register, VO tracker, and commercial records
• Highlight missing documents, inflated quantities, weak support, or commercial risks before submission
• Support management in centralizing pricing control and improving claim discipline

Requirements

• Minimum 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying, commercial control, claims, or contract administration
• Experience in construction ( Milling) , civil, infrastructure, utility, telecom fiber, HDD, electrical, or project-based works
• Strong in quotation checking, claims review, quantity verification, rate comparison, and VO valuation
• Able to go to site when required to verify work progress and supporting evidence
• Good understanding of site-based work quantities and project claimability
• Strong Excel, documentation, and follow-up skills
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Organized, firm, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
• Able to coordinate with project managers, operations, procurement, and finance
• Experience with TNB, telco, utility, or infrastructure-related projects is an added advantage

• Comfortable working both on documents and on site verification
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Fast in follow-up and structured in reporting
