About the role

We are seeking an experienced Manager - Group Safety, Health & Environment to join our organization in Shah Alam, Selangor. This is a strategic leadership position within our Warehouse & Logistics operations, where you will oversee and manage all safety, health and environmental matters across the group. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, implementing best practices, and fostering a strong safety culture throughout the organization. This role is essential to our commitment to protecting our employees, assets, and the environment whilst maintaining operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and systems across all group operations.
• Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential workplace hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety and environmental legislation, regulations and industry standards.
• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents and near-misses, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Lead health and safety training programmes and awareness campaigns to promote a strong safety culture amongst all employees.
• Prepare and present health, safety and environmental reports and data to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with operational teams to integrate health, safety and environmental considerations into business processes and decisions.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of facilities and operations to ensure adherence to established standards.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, insurance providers and external consultants on health, safety and environmental matters.
• Manage health and safety budgets and resources effectively to support organizational objectives.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in health, safety and environment management, preferably within manufacturing, transport or logistics sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian health, safety and environmental legislation, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and Environmental Quality Act 1974.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE systems and management frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills with proficiency in data analysis and the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities with the capacity to influence behavior and drive change
• Demonstrated experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action planning
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HSE management software systems
• Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
