Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate Retail Assistant Manager to support daily store operations, lead the sales team, maintain store standards, and drive sales targets in a dynamic retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Support the Retail Manager in managing daily store operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow
• Lead, motivate, and coach the retail team to consistently achieve sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Deliver exceptional customer service by resolving enquiries and complaints professionally to enhance customer satisfaction
• Maintain store presentation by ensuring compliance with visual merchandising standards and cleanliness
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely stock replenishment and transfers to prevent stockouts
• Conduct stock counts and assist in accurate inventory management to support operational efficiency
• Manage cashiering duties including cash reconciliation and prepare daily sales reports for management review
• Train and mentor new retail staff on product knowledge and customer service skills to build team capability
• Prepare staff schedules and allocate manpower effectively to meet operational demands
• Ensure adherence to company policies, operational procedures, and safety standards to maintain compliance
• Support store promotions, events, and new product launches to drive customer engagement and sales growth

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 2 years of retail supervisory or assistant managerial experience
• Ability to work weekends, public holidays, and rotating shifts

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in FMCG retail
• Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications
• Experience using POS or retail inventory systems
