Tanggungjawab

1. Site Safety Monitoring

  • Monitor daily construction activities to ensure compliance with safety rules, procedures, and company requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the construction site, work areas, machinery, equipment, tools, scaffolding, access routes, and temporary structures.
  • Identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential workplace hazards.
  • Ensure appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken promptly

2. Safety Compliance

  • Ensure construction activities comply with applicable Occupational Safety and Health requirements and project safety procedures.
  • Assist management in implementing and maintaining the company's Safety and Health Plan.
  • Ensure workers and subcontractors comply with site safety rules and regulations.
  • Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety helmets, safety shoes, safety harnesses, reflective vests, and other required protective equipment.

3. Risk Assessment and Hazard Control

  • Assist in conducting risk assessments and identifying hazards associated with construction activities.
  • Monitor control measures for high-risk activities such as working at height, excavation, lifting operations, hot work, confined spaces, and machinery operations.
  • Recommend suitable control measures to reduce or eliminate workplace risks.

4. Safety Briefings and Toolbox Meetings

  • Conduct or assist in conducting daily toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
  • Provide safety instructions and reminders to workers before the commencement of work.
  • Promote safety awareness among employees, subcontractors, and site personnel.

5. Incident and Accident Management

  • Respond to workplace accidents, incidents, near misses, and emergencies.
  • Assist in investigating accidents and incidents to determine their causes.
  • Prepare and maintain accident, incident, near-miss, and safety investigation reports.
  • Recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

6. Safety Documentation and Records

  • Maintain proper records of site safety inspections, toolbox meetings, safety briefings, risk assessments, permits, incidents, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports when required.
  • Ensure safety documentation is properly filed and readily available for inspection.

7. Site Safety Coordination

  • Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Manager, Safety and Health Officer, engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and workers on safety matters.
  • Attend site meetings and provide updates regarding safety performance and outstanding safety issues.
  • Communicate safety requirements clearly to workers and subcontractors.

8. Emergency Preparedness

  • Assist in developing and implementing emergency response procedures.
  • Ensure emergency equipment, fire extinguishers, first-aid facilities, emergency exits, and access routes are properly maintained and accessible.
  • Assist in emergency drills and evacuation exercises.

9. Housekeeping and Environmental Safety

  • Monitor housekeeping standards throughout the construction site.
  • Ensure construction waste, materials, tools, and equipment are properly stored and managed.
  • Identify conditions that may cause slips, trips, falls, fire hazards, or other safety risks.

10. Subcontractor and Worker Monitoring

  • Monitor subcontractors and workers to ensure compliance with site safety requirements.
  • Conduct safety inductions for new workers and site personnel where required.
  • Stop or report unsafe work practices and ensure corrective action is taken.

11. Legal and Regulatory Compliance

  • Keep updated on relevant Malaysian occupational safety and health and construction-related requirements.
  • Assist the company in complying with requirements from relevant authorities, including the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH/JKKP) and Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB).
  • Cooperate during inspections, audits, and visits by relevant authorities or project representatives.

12. Other Duties

  • Perform other safety-related duties assigned by the Project Manager, Site Manager, or management.
  • Support the company in promoting a strong safety culture and achieving the project's safety objectives.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
