Role Description The Trademark Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Georgetown. This role involves managing trademark portfolios, including conducting searches, preparing and filing applications, monitoring deadlines, and maintaining accurate records. The Trademark Executive will communicate with clients, IP offices, and external partners to provide updates, respond to queries, and ensure timely resolution of trademark-related matters. The role also includes reviewing and organizing legal documents, assisting with trademark renewals and oppositions, and preparing reports or summaries for internal and client use. The person in this position will collaborate with colleagues across different IP disciplines to deliver coordinated and high-quality service.
Qualifications
- Strong legal and analytical skills related to intellectual property, particularly trademarks, including the ability to interpret regulations and guidelines.
- Solid organizational and administrative skills for managing documentation, deadlines, databases, and case files.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting correspondence, reports, and client updates in clear, professional language.
- Proficiency with office software and digital tools for document management, data entry, and online filing systems.
- Ability to work accurately under time constraints, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail across multiple matters.
- Customer-focused mindset, with the ability to build professional relationships and provide responsive, reliable client service.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Law, Business, Intellectual Property, or a related field is preferred; prior experience in IP or legal services is an advantage.
