Full Time School Nurse Jobs, Salary up to MYR 4,500 in ACE EdVenture Group Selangor - Maukerja

The School Nurse is responsible for promoting and safeguarding the health, safety, and well-being of students and staff by providing professional nursing care, administering first aid, managing student health records, and supporting the school's health, safety, and infection control initiatives. The role also serves as a key liaison between the school, parents, healthcare providers, and relevant government authorities to ensure compliance with health regulations and the delivery of quality healthcare services within the school environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Healthcare & Medical Support

• Provide prompt first aid, nursing care, and emergency medical assistance to students and staff who become ill or injured during school hours.
• Assess students' medical conditions and determine appropriate treatment, monitoring, or referral to external healthcare providers when necessary.
• Administer medications to students in accordance with medical prescriptions, parental consent, and school policies.
• Monitor students with chronic medical conditions, allergies, or special healthcare needs and ensure appropriate care plans are implemented.
• Observe students recovering from illness or injury and determine when they are fit to return to class or require further medical attention.
• Respond effectively to medical emergencies and coordinate emergency response procedures when required.

Health Records & Medical Administration

• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date medical records for all students.
• Prepare and regularly update student health lists, medical alerts, allergy records, and emergency contact information.
• Document all medical treatments, incidents, accidents, and first aid cases in accordance with school procedures.
• Ensure all health records comply with applicable data protection and confidentiality requirements.

Health Promotion & Student Well-being

• Promote healthy lifestyle practices, personal hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention among students.
• Provide health education and guidance to students, staff, and parents on relevant health-related matters.
• Support student well-being by identifying potential physical or mental health concerns and referring cases to appropriate school personnel or healthcare professionals when necessary.
• Participate in the development and implementation of school health and wellness programmes.

Infection Prevention & Health Compliance

• Oversee infection prevention and control measures across the school.
• Monitor communicable diseases and advise management on appropriate preventive measures and protocols.
• Ensure compliance with Ministry of Health guidelines and other relevant statutory health regulations.
• Liaise with the Ministry of Health and other relevant healthcare authorities regarding public health matters, vaccinations, disease outbreaks, and health advisories.

Medical Facilities & Supplies

• Ensure the school infirmary is maintained in a clean, safe, hygienic, and fully operational condition.
• Conduct regular cleaning and sanitisation of the infirmary in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Maintain adequate stock levels of first aid equipment, medications, and medical supplies.
• Ensure emergency medical kits are readily available, properly maintained, and replenished at all times.
• Conduct periodic inspections of medical equipment to ensure functionality and compliance.

Parent & Stakeholder Communication

• Communicate promptly and professionally with parents or guardians regarding students' illnesses, injuries, or medical concerns.
• Provide accurate medical updates and respond to health-related enquiries from parents.
• Collaborate with teachers, student supervisors, counsellors, and school leadership to support students' health and welfare.
• Liaise with hospitals, clinics, emergency services, and healthcare providers when necessary.

School Events & Operational Support

• Provide medical coverage during school events, excursions, sports activities, camps, and other off-site programmes.
• Conduct health and safety risk assessments for school activities where appropriate.
• Support emergency preparedness initiatives, including evacuation drills and medical emergency planning.
• Assist in developing and reviewing school health, safety, and medical policies and procedures.

Other Responsibilities

• Support student supervisors in ensuring the safety, welfare, and well-being of students.
• Keep abreast of developments in school healthcare, nursing practices, and public health regulations.
• Undertake any other duties or special projects assigned by Management.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
