The role provides objective assurance to the CEO, ensures conformance with applicable ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 requirements, and ensures material quality, safety, regulatory and compliance matters are identified, escalated and followed through.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

a) Lead and maintain the Company’s QA/QC framework, including inspection plans, workmanship standards, testing and commissioning records, non-conformance reporting, defect prevention and closure verification.

b) Conduct or oversee independent project quality inspections and verify compliance with approved designs, specifications, applicable standards, manufacturer requirements and contractual obligations.

c) Lead HSE coordination across office, warehouse and project sites, including hazard identification, risk controls, site inspections, incident and near-miss follow-up, contractor safety and emergency preparedness.

d) Lead implementation and ongoing compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 requirements, including gap closure, documented processes, internal audit coordination, management-review inputs, corrective actions and certification support.

e) Provide independent assurance by reporting significant quality, HSE, legal or compliance concerns directly to the CEO and recommending corrective intervention where necessary.

f) Supervise the Executive, Regulatory & Compliance in managing authority submissions, legal and regulatory registers, compliance calendars, SOP monitoring, the annual review and refresh of the Corporate Risk Profile (CRP), mitigation tracking and corrective-action follow-up.

g) Review material or high-risk regulatory submissions and ensure technical or business owners provide complete and timely supporting information.

h) Monitor quality, HSE, audit, incident, complaint and compliance trends; identify recurring weaknesses and recommend practical improvements.

i) Prepare concise monthly and exception-based reports covering QA/QC findings, HSE performance, ISO requirements and compliance, regulatory status, SOP compliance, CRP review status, mitigation progress and overdue actions.

j) Coach and develop the Executive, allocate priorities, review the quality and timeliness of deliverables, and maintain appropriate cross-training for critical compliance activities.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in engineering, occupational safety and health, quality management, construction management or a related discipline.
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in QA/QC, HSE, engineering, construction, renewable energy, electrical works or project delivery, with some supervisory or coordination experience.
  • Practical experience in site inspections, non-conformance management, root-cause analysis and corrective-action follow-up.
  • Working knowledge of occupational safety and health requirements and project-site risks; solar PV, BESS or EPCC experience is preferred.
  • Exposure to ISO 9001 and/or ISO 45001; internal-auditor training and DOSH-recognised OSH Coordinator training are advantageous.
  • Strong independence, professional judgement, communication, analytical reporting and ability to challenge constructively.
