Role Description The Junior ESG and Sustainability Executive is a full-time, hybrid role based in Greater Kuala Lumpur, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. This role supports senior consultants in delivering ESG and sustainability projects, including carbon credit and GHG accounting assignments, REC initiatives, and sustainability reporting engagements. Day-to-day tasks include collecting and analyzing environmental and social data, assisting with client presentations and reports, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and performing desk research on ESG regulations, standards, and best practices. The executive will help prepare sustainability disclosures, track project progress, maintain documentation, and contribute to improving internal tools and methodologies. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and offers opportunities to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility in ESG advisory work.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and research abilities, including data collection, validation, and basic quantitative analysis for ESG and climate-related topics.
• Competence in written and verbal communication, with the ability to prepare clear reports, presentations, and client-facing materials in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
• Foundational knowledge or keen interest in sustainability, climate change, ESG frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol, TCFD, GRI), and corporate responsibility.
• Comfort with digital tools such as spreadsheets, presentation software, and collaboration platforms; ability to learn new software for data and project management.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setting, manage time effectively, and collaborate in diverse teams while maintaining attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, economics, business, or a related field; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Prior internship or project experience in ESG, sustainability, consulting, or related areas is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated motivation to contribute to climate action, continuous learning, and professional development in ESG and sustainability.
