Climate Quest is a Malaysia-based sustainability consultancy specializing in carbon credit consulting, project development, GHG accounting, Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), ESG advisory, and sustainability reporting. Role Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior ESG Executive to join our growing team in Petaling Jaya.

The successful candidate will primarily support the Team Leader in delivering ESG reporting and sustainability advisory assignments for clients. This role is suitable for fresh graduates or early-career professionals who are interested in ESG, corporate sustainability, climate action, and sustainability reporting frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Team Leader in preparing ESG assessments, sustainability reports, and ESG disclosure materials for clients.

• Assist with data collection, data checking, analysis, and consolidation of ESG-related information from clients and internal teams.

• Conduct research on ESG regulations, sustainability reporting standards, climate-related requirements, and industry best practices.

• Assist in mapping client disclosures against relevant ESG reporting frameworks and standards.

• Support the development of sustainability strategies, corporate decarbonisation roadmaps, and net-zero planning initiatives.

• Prepare presentation slides, reports, meeting materials, and client-facing documentation.

• Participate in stakeholder engagement sessions, client meetings, workshops, and presentations.

• Assist in monitoring project timelines, follow-up actions, and documentation requirements.

• Work closely with the wider Climate Quest team on GHG accounting, carbon credit, REC, and other sustainability-related projects where required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.

• Strong interest in ESG, sustainability reporting, climate change, corporate decarbonisation, or environmental policy.

• Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks or standards.

• Strong research, analytical, writing, and attention-to-detail skills.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English. Proficiency in other languages is an added advantage.

• Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and contribute effectively in a team environment.

• Proficient in Canva, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Proficiency in sustainability assessment tools such as OpenLCA is an advantage.
