Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders and managers on workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, organisational development and other people-related initiatives.
  • Manage employee and industrial relations matters, including disciplinary cases, grievances, investigations, counselling, conflict resolution and employment-related risk advisory.
  • Ensure HR practices remain compliant with Malaysian labour legislation while reviewing and enhancing HR policies, procedures, handbooks and employment practices.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment activities, including manpower planning, sourcing, interview coordination, offer management, onboarding and probation processes.
  • Drive performance management activities covering goal setting, performance reviews, improvement plans, talent reviews and employee development.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits administration, payroll coordination, statutory requirements, leave, insurance, salary benchmarking and employee data accuracy.
  • Manage day-to-day HR operations, including employee records, confirmation, transfers, resignations, exits, HR reporting, headcount analysis and HR systems.
  • Lead employee engagement, wellbeing, retention, communication and learning initiatives while supporting a positive workplace culture and company values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related discipline, with 5–8 years of HR experience, including at least 3 years managing full-spectrum HR independently.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation with hands-on experience managing employee relations, disciplinary matters, HR policies and compliance.
  • Solid exposure across recruitment, performance management, payroll, compensation & benefits and general HR operations; experience within manufacturing, industrial, engineering or multinational environments is advantageous.
  • Self-driven and comfortable operating independently, with strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, and the ability to balance strategic HR partnering with hands-on operational execution.
