About the Roles

Join a semi-con industry manufacturer as a Sales Application Engineer / Executive – Metal Cutting Tools, based in Seletar with islandwide customer coverage. This is a permanent role on a 5-day work week, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5.30pm, offering a basic salary with variable bonus, ideal for candidates who enjoy combining technical knowledge with customer-facing sales support.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Engage customers to understand their machining needs and application requirements.
• Recommend suitable metal cutting tools, including inserts, end mills, drills, and taps.
• Provide technical guidance on product usage, features, specifications, and applications.
• Assess customer requirements and propose effective cutting tool solutions.
• Prepare technical proposals and quotations based on customer needs.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and other customers.
• Stay updated on product developments, tool specifications, and relevant applications.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum Higher Nitec or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, CNC Machining, or related field.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in technical sales or engineering, preferably within manufacturing or related industries.
• Good understanding of metal cutting tools and their applications.
• Knowledge of tool materials and coatings will be an advantage.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Good problem-solving skills with the ability to provide effective solutions.
