About the Role
The School of Computer & Mathematical Sciences at the University of Nottingham Malaysia invites applications from highly motivated undergraduate students for a Research Assistant position.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an interdisciplinary project that combines Artificial Intelligence (AI), Educational Technology, Human-Centred Computing, and Software Engineering to develop an intelligent, context-responsive, evidence-based training and monitoring system.
The successful candidate will work closely with academic researchers and industry collaborators, gaining valuable experience in AI research, software development, and educational technologies

Project
The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary team developing a context-responsive, evidence-based training and monitoring system for Ibupreneur Academy, in collaboration with the University of Nottingham Malaysia.
The project aims to leverage AI and learning analytics to create an adaptive digital learning platform that supports the delivery of personalised training, monitor learner progress, and support evidence-based decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
The Research Assistant will support the team by:
· Designing and developing AI-enabled software components.
· Developing and testing features for a web-based Learning Management System (LMS).
· Collecting, cleaning, and analysing research and learner data.
· Supporting the implementation and evaluation of AI and learning analytics models.
· Developing dashboards and visualisations for learner monitoring.
· Leading project meetings and preparing technical documentation and reports.
· Leading with system testing, validation, and user evaluation.
Expected Deliverable
The primary outcome of the project is the design, development, and evaluation of a fully functional AI-enabled Learning Management System (LMS) that supports adaptive learning, learner monitoring, and evidence-based training.
